Enlightenment in a Society of Information Overload
I agree, we don't embrace diversity, but welcome commonality, FEAR IS THE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING! Over the last few thousand years, so many wars and conflicts have occurred due to fear and hate, because of ignorance from the lack of scientific, philosophical knowledge. "The "Dumbing down of America" has given rise to an increase of bigotry and condemnation of people of other faiths, religions, and the incredible amount of Trolling and negative feeling in our society. The internet was meant to liberate our minds by enlightenment but has confused people due to "Future Shock" or the over saturation of information that overwhelms most people to be able to process. The bridging or differences by embracing our differences through compassion would go far at reducing the hate, and increasing the love and care for each other.
